    Finally the wait is over!!!!!

Not that it ever does me any good, but I decided to log in to the Texas DPS site to track the status of my CHL application and guess what I found?

"Application Completed - license issued or certificate active"

I may have to go home early to check the mailbox and then head to the store. Still not sure what I will do since I don't shop at Wal-Mart. I guess I could just go walk around and not buy anything, or put my ethics aside for a box of ammo and a Icee (no nachos at the one near the house).

I got my PIN letter dated 4/11/08. I had mailed in my app (didn't do electronic like I should have) in mid March.

I called home to have the Wife check the mail and got our voice mail, I bet when she hears it she will think I am more of a goober than I really am.

I was surprised to see it, I figured it would say the same old thing "Processing Application" but BAM it said something different.

Can I ask what ethical dilema you have shopping at Wal-Mart?

Sure, but I will have to be vague in my answer so as to not upset the rules.

I disagree with some of their corporate policies and where they spend their marketing dollars, in the same manner as companies like Ford and Proctor and Gamble.

Ha, that is a conservative percentage my friend. Not to mention they started phasing out nachos years ago

Finally got a hold of the Wife and had her check the mailbox, no CHL. I guess the status changed because they sent it out, so it should be this week that I am a card carrier, the pistol gets lonely when I have to lock it up in the car .

I think it's usually about 2 days after issue before ya get it in the mail, but it's only a day or two away and then you too can experience the feeling of walking around with a couple pounds of weight 24/7
