I am working at a gunshop/indoor range, so now I guess I know what I am!
CCW and OC are both welcome in the shop; if it is loaded we request it stay in the holster. From time to time someone is carrying a gun they want to find/try a holster for, we request they step out on the range to "make safe" and return action open to "show safe" before we look at holsters. We have a Bass Pro close by so we do not try to compete on “sporting guns” we specialize in “personal protection weapons”, offer the state required CCW classes and encourage personal protection. It would seem a bit hypocritical if we did not permit carrying while encouraging other business to either not post or remove posting.
If you want to handle/show your arm, bring it in safe or make safe on the range, a pretty simple request.
I like bass pro shops, but after finding out they try to disarm, i may never go there again. if i CC and there is nothing posted, i just won't say anything.
