The group is sponsoring a petition that argues: "Gun-free zones have proven ineffective. Criminals do not respect gun-free zones any more than they respect human life. Gun-free zones only disarm victims."

    Very well said.

You never see any mass shooting at a gun range.

While I agree with the idea that students and teachers who are licensed to carry should be allowed to. I would have to vote no to the poll. The poll reads that anyone would be allowed to carry, whether licensed or not.

I'm sure the new President of CU is very pro-gun, pro-carry. The regent on the Republican ticket is also pro-carry. I was a delegate and ask him face-to-face. They are finally getting more pro-gun folks at CU.

The State of Colo allows the individual colleges & universities to decide for themselves. It's not surprising that the elitist regents at CU, based in [The Peoples Republik of] Boulder, have elected to ban guns.

OTOH, Colorado State University allows CC everywhere on campus except it's dormitories. The CSU PD Chief is in favor of it [CC on campus].

Well the criminals and mass murderers are carrying already aren't they... the petition is clearly against disarming victims. I understand your point, though. Concealed carry license holders have proven their worth by qualifying (in most states) and having deep background check performed, but open carry (in Ohio at least) is perfectly legal, although it does not require any training or qualifying. All you need to pass is the background check to buy a gun, or be gifted a gun from a friend or relative. I do understand wanting everyone carrying to have a lot more checked out on them, but it is legal, and it is our right. Voting NO to this survey does nothing but help the anti-'s disarm victims, and keep the criminals' workplace safe for them.

They did that to get people to say no.

universitys will only be " armed " in co when k-12 schools are . My daughter does a juco in colorado , she is armed because nothing prohibits it in her student hadndbook . Another friend who teaches there occationally says in his teachers materials he signs off on a no weapons policy . I wont speak to colorado further than to say that in some areas its against policy , in some areas it is policy and in any PUBLIC k-12 its a felony .
Make sure you get full value out of today , Do something worthwhile, because what you do today will cost you one day off the rest of your life .
We only begin to understand folks after we stop and think .
