My wife is disabled, uses two canes to walk, so she can't watch our sons by herself, they run faster than she can hobble. Besides, she'd likely want to go shooting too.
Well, I actually shoot in Battle Creek, which is convient for you I'd assume! Today I was planning on heading up to Grand Rapids area to Silver Bullet Firearms because I'm hoping to sight in the new optics I just put on the SKS. Either way let me know if you and your wife would like to join me, the more the marrier I say! But I do say, the weather outside is really REALLY bad, though the roads might be driveable.

Well, let's see, after 40 I started deducting years instead of adding them so I am currently 26!

    I'm really 54....

I am a "young" 57 but new to concealed carry.
I am surprised at the current age spread shown in the poll. I am pleased to see the number of "seasoned" citizens that participate. That explains the maturity level, quality experience and advice usually present in this forum. Younger age groups, don't be offended as you have worthy input and experience as well, I'm merely reinforcing the thought that with time (age and experience) wisdom grows. I am glad we can all benefit from each other!

    Thanks to all,

Scanning down the chart at this moment, I see that each bracket is bigger that the preceding brackets until the last one. I suspect the last one is bigger in the general population. To vote, one must be active on this forum, which means he or she is computer-facile and active on the Internet. At the current time, people closer to 70 are less likely to be Internet-junkies because they have lived most of their lives in the pre-PC era.

I'm 61. Do I get a prize or somethin'? Maybe a first generation SAA?

Glad to be aboard. New things to learn every day.

I'm 41, and have been carrying legally since 1992. I got my permit because of an incident in a business I used to own where I had to draw on someone, and didn't have a permit at the time.

I got away with it, but what if I were forced to shoot? I would have been roasted because of the lack of a permit.

It's an ugly shame, but that's the way it is.

I've carried legally every day since, and do not regret it.

In fact, I truly believe the fact that I carried a handgun all the time, a fact which all my former employees were aware of, kept at least one of them from setting up my robbery. At least, that is what I was told much later.

Fear of getting shot is a great deterrent for lazy fast buck robbers.
