    You did things well and got out of there intact. You can be sure he did not have a $20, but was hoping to get yours. You were being interviewed to be his next victim, but you failed the interview,as you demonstrated you were on to him and not an easy target.

    You went home safe, the customer got their pizza, hopefully you got a good tip, and maybe the dirt bag learned a lesson you done very good. I agree a good flashlight would be a must. A larger light would be my choice as well, they can make a good weapon and the batteries are cheaper!! Stay safe.

    I think he did well too.... was cautious, aware, and prepared.. in a situation that didn't feel / look right at all.

    Yes.... some of them have extremely good senses about who a good victim is.... and when they aren't. You weren't.
