Good CHL instructor in EXTREME NW Texas?

If I remember the rules correctly, I can take the course up to 6 months before my license expires. I now live in CO, so it will necessitate a special trip to the Republic. I see there's a guy in Dalhart, but I hesitate to cold-call somebody. Does anybody have a reference for a GOOD instructor in Amarillo or further NW?

    Thanks in advance,
    Herk

Lightbulb Address on the Driver's License could cause a hiccup.

FYI: You say you're living in Colorado now. Beware, Colorado no longer honors non-resident permits of states you are not a resident of. Which state issued your driver's license or other ID?

Understood. However, since I have to forfeit my CO license when I move out of state in a couple of years, I want to maintain my TX permit in addition to the CO one.

    Thanks for the reply.

PM ridgeline or reborn...both members of this forum and great guys to deal with.
There are two sides to every issue: one side is right and the other is wrong, but the middle is always evil.

I'm not too sure about the guy in Dalhart (not saying he is good or bad, just don't know anything about him). There is a guy in Claude that teaches a lot of CHL classes. His name is Jim Finley (I'd have to dig up the contact info for him). There is another man in Vega that is supposed to be really good too but I don't have info on him but I can get it. PM me if you're interested.
As far as instructors in Amarillo, I'm not familiar with any of them but there are a few.
