Sooo, what do you do with your weak side?

Not trying to beat a dead horse. As I have been "reading" DC the past year and a half and have followed certain links on defensive carrying, I have become aware of the "weak side". For instance, if you are in a fight for your life and your strong side is pinned against a car, wall, the perp, etc. what, if anything, do you carry on your weak side? After some experimentation and reading, I now carry a very unobtrusive Spyderco fixed blade. It is set up for a quick grab and thrust. No fumbling with getting a folder out of my pocket. I have toyed with a bug in my weak pocket but with a cell phone, large cache of keys, my primary carry, extra mag, surefire, chewing gum, car wash change, AA sobriety coins, old gummi bears, pez dispenser, and breath mints, there's just not a whole heckuva lot more room. Oh, man, here it comes.

We here at DC do not have a " Weak Side " . Like Chuck Norris or Sara Palin we will not only kick your butt with either side , but not spill our coffee doing it .

On a side note , I carry a spyderco clipped on the weak side front pocket , it is also " waved " where it self opens when i pull it out . Whatever you do dont quit carrying the AA sobriety coins , they have much more a chance of saving your life than any weapon you might put there .
Make sure you get full value out of today , Do something worthwhile, because what you do today will cost you one day off the rest of your life .

I carry a KaBar TDI that I can draw with either hand and practice drawing with my weak hand.

As a matter of fact I am better at drawing with my weak hand than I am with my strong hand.

You beat me to it. It IS your support side. My benchmade can be deployed from either side if I cannot get to my CCW.

It is better to have your gun and not need it, than to need it and not have it!

KaBar TDI, CRKT M16-14SFA, Walther PPS, several flashlights, OC, and KaBar LDK in wallet.

Primary is able to be pulled with support hand from across back although a repositioning in grip is needed.

My primary carry is in the appendix position, easily reachable with either hand.

There should be no such thing, only an "opposite hand". I took a defensive handgun class in April expecting it to be shoot with what hand I want, in whatever position I want. WRONG! I was engraging multiple targets left handed by the end of the day.

If my strong side is pressed against a wall, car etc. it will be because a strong force is pressing on my weak side limiting ability to draw something with it. I will use my strong side in conjunction with my weak side to kick said strong forces butt and relieve my strong side such that I can draw and take care of business.

If you were to ask what I would do if my strong side was injured I would tell you my weak side can do pretty well with weapons also.

    When I get a J-frame, I'm thinking of carrying in a left-side Comptac 2o'clock all the time.
The preceding post may contain sarcasm; it's just better that way. However, it is still intended with construction and with the Love of my L-rd Y'shua.
