Carried for the first time yesterday, with a twist

I carried concealed for the first time yesterday. Did a Wally World walk through (does a Wally World food store count?) I carried a CZ 2075 Rami iwb in a Highnoon Split Decision at about 4 to 4:30. Had on a pair of cargo shorts, t-shirt and an untucked camp shirt. While I felt the pressure on my back the whole time, I wasn't uncomfortable and I wasn't self-conscious about printing. No one seemed to notice.

Now here's the twist. I am a NY resident and my NY license has restrictions. I also have a Pennsylvania non-resident license to carry. I am on a business trip in Phoenix, Arizona. Arizona honors both my NY and PA licenses. What a great state! My first time carrying and I am almost all the way across the country.

    Good job.

I too have been carrying for the first time this week. I have a full size 1911 in an IWB at 5 o'clock. Same as you, t-shirt with old flannel shirt untucked over it all. (Getting cool lately here in Maine, supposed to get a frost in the next few days, so it will be easier to conceal in the coming weeks)

    Congrats, Rebmik

If you are in Arizona it's a piece of cake. We open carry when we wish.

    Congrats on your first trip.

Good job, practice where it is accepted more before you go back home.

What airline did you fly out of and any problems at the airport or airlines?

    Great news

    Congratulations'

Concealed is concealed, and no one will be the wiser unless you act jittery or "print" big time.

I've traveled all over this nation and never ever had any problems.

Always carry whenever possible. You'll feel "nekked" when you don't!

Congratulations. For a moment, when I read your title, I thought you were carrying with a piece of lemon or lime!

    Congrats for being 'prepared'...
    What type of holster?
Exactly what 'pressure' did you feel on your back?

Way to go.. I've been carrying for a while now. Mostly on weekends. I just recently started carrying on my way to and from work, everywhere I go I have my gun.. (Except in my work place) wish I could carry there too..

TSA and most airlines allow packing your firearms in your checked baggage, so there should be no problems at all -- people fly with firearms every day. There are some restrictions on the number of guns and the amount of ammo you can carry, it must be locked in a hard case, you must notify the agent when you check your bags and demonstrate they are unloaded, etc.

All is documented at the TSA website and with most airlines. In fact Handgunlaw.us has all the info you should need, check the Travel links on the top menu bar.
