    SC CCW question

I have a SC CWP and I have a question I am sometimes sent off base to see a doctor and I know a sign must be posted on the door but there is no sign until you get inside and it is posted up on their little board with the hours of op and doctors names. can I carry in the office or must I disarm?

Doctors offices are off limits without permission of the Doctor whether posted or not.

Yup, I agree it is weird but my understanding is that since it covers Hospitals, Doctors offices etc. it is whoever is in charge of the hiring. In some cases it is an individual (Doctor) or many cases a Corporation. It may even be Government or a Volunteer group. Whoever employees the staff. In many cases now the Doctor is an employee of some larger group. No good way to figure out most of the time.

    Why not ask your doctor?

cause my regular doctor is on the base as I am military. But from time to time I am sent down town so it never crossed my mind as this is one of 3 places we are sent if not appts are available on base when needed.

any other facility where medical services or procedures are performed
Yup. Since Vets do sometimes handle dangerous animals they may be more open to it but I would say they are included.

I think the Vet office would be included because the drugs stored there are the same ones stored at the MD's office (just different labels).

It is just my opinion, but I think human medical facilities is what they had in mind. It's OK to carry in a drug store.

I agree with your opinion, but a crafty solicitor could extend it to the Vet office. I'll let someone else be the test case.

Vet offices are not covered to the best of my knowledge.
XD45: curious - I assume you took the SC cwp course - it should have covered the places you can't carry...

Doesn't matter what they had in mind iit it is what the law says.

medical services or procedures maybe could include tatoo parlors or ear piercing.
