Hats off to you on a job well done. As bandit383 said, what are your expectations when the issue goes to the board?

I think your letter is pretty near perfect, possibly this thread should be made a sticky for "how to contact..."

Well I went to the credit union today and they still had the meaningless 30.06 signage posted outside the door. I will have to go back next week after the board meeting to see if Joy presented my case or letter to the board effectively and the signage is removed.
She wasn't there so I didn't get a chance to ask her about it, and it would have done no good to talk to the tellers so next week will tell.
Just remember that shot placement is much more important with what you carry than how big a bang you get with each trigger pull.

Well done and good job. I am looking forward to seeing if they do take it down.
If you don't mind I would like to save a copy of the letter for reference. Thanks

Looks like you might have a chance to change some one's mind! My Bank has legally posted a 30.06. I have no choice but to leave my pistol in the car if I have to enter the Bank. I try to use the drive up window when possible. Wish you luck on this one. Keep us posted!
Y'all be safe now, ya hear!
Or you could inform them that you are changing banks since you do not feel safe in their bank. That their policies assure that the only people that will be carrying a weapon into the bank are criminals that have no regard for the law while restricting your right to defend yourself.

Well done, Farronwolf! You're in a unique position to make a difference with your institution, since you are among the inner circle.
If my credit union's management were to prohibit CCW, I'd inform them first and try to change their minds. If that failed, then my money and my business would go elsewhere, along with as many others as I could convince to do the same. Fortunately, I don't think there's much of a chance that will ever happen.
Please keep us posted.
Cheers,
Rod

Great job......can't wait to hear the end result.
TX has great weapons/deadly force/concealed carry laws.....it's beyond me why they continue to water it all down with the whole 30.06 signage thing. Is there any effort underway to change that as far as anyone knows?

Great letter. I dont know how anybody could argue it.![]()
Here is the update.
Last month when Joy was supposed to bring up the CHL issue during the board meeting, there was not time, due to the impending financial downturn or whatever, the meeting ran really late and it didn't get addressed.
I asked my dad this morning and at this months meeting she did bring it up, and the board decided that the signage will need to come down. I went there today and the signs (not proper ones) were still at the entrance of the one in town here. I will give her a week or so, to see if she has them taken down or not. If not I will give her a call or stop by and talk to her about the boards decision.
I guess that the letter did some good. Maybe now some of them have a better understanding of the CHL issue.
