The only times I don't carry are at airports and courthouses (and I seldom go either of those places).
This is a discussion on For those with concealed carry permits within the Concealed Carry Issues & Discussions forums, part of the Defensive Carry Discussions category; The only times I don't carry are at airports and courthouses (and I seldom go either of those places)....
I carry on my person (almost) always
I carry when I feel I need to
I carry when it's not too much trouble
I carry in my vehicle
I usually leave my gun at home
The only times I don't carry are at airports and courthouses (and I seldom go either of those places).

If you carry in Condition 3, you have two empty chambers. One in the weapon...the other between your ears.

I never planned on carrying all the time, but now I do not leave the front door without at least one firearm. I find that I feel more self-conscious when not carrying.
I hate these polls - they never have the correct quections or options. I carry on my person when not prohibited to do so. If I am prohibited for some reason (law), I usually will leave in my vehicle so I still have it with me when I return. The vehicle carry is only if permitted to do so (no law against it). We here in GA have a weird public gathering law - which applies to churches, their parking lots, any church activity like a cook out at someone's house or park. But if you are going to do a poll - make sure your bases are covered for the answers. So mine would be Both On My Person And In My Vehicle.
Even though carrying is not really comfortable...I find I feel weird without it. So, I tend to always carry. There very, very rare times when I don't. You just never know these days. I always carry on my person, except at church when I wear dresses/skirts. I don't have a belly band or otherwise to carry in, so it gets shoved in the purse...which I hate.
I'm thankful to live in PA, where I can carry just about anywhere. Not only that, but since I am a stay at home mom, I can carry at "work", and at "school". (We home school) Gotta Love it!![]()

I carry every chance I can legally, unfortunately it is illegal to carry at my work. (yes Illegal ) so i stop off to get stuff on my way home from work, so that sucks because I can't carry!!!!!!!!

I carry everywhere I am legally allowed. From I leave the house in the morning till I go to bed at night, I am armed.

I carry on my person (almost) always. The only exceptions are work and any place that carry is not legal.![]()
ALWAYS carry! - NEVER tell!

Not a very informative poll. Folks reading these forums are what I would consider engaged & active permit holders and I would expect them to carry all the time. I guarantee most find it "too much trouble".
If my pants are on, my gun is on. If where I am is legal to carry, I'm carrying.

I currently only serve local customers and do not ship ammunition. Thanks for understanding.

Sad enough to say, I'm sure Divebum is right. I have five family members who have their permits. None of them carry as much as they could.
The only place I don't carry is church (requested not to). Other than that, I'm either carrying, or it's within reach. Of course, there are a few other places it would be illegal for me to carry, but I haven't had a need to go to any of those places (oops, except the post office-I don't carry there).

I agree; anyone that has a permit but only carries on "special occasions" is probably not going to respond to this poll, if only because its assumed implications would seem to belittle them.
I still enjoy the responses, though.
For the ladies out there for whom carrying is too much trouble (and especially to the men who care for them), I'd like to offer this "Food for Thought," which is the same I presented to my wife:
"Carrying is a lot of hassle, I agree, and it lasts for as long as you can/will carry, whereas an assault or a rape can be over with, and recovered from, in a few minutes to a few days, right???
I guess maybe it really isn't worth that much effort, after all.
You decide; I can't decide for you"
(FYI: I have a wife and four daughters; if you think for a moment that I'm insensetive to the issues you're totally missing my point!)
Stay safe,

Why do I use 230 gr. for my .45acp?
Because I can't find a source of 250 gr!
