If I have my pants on, I'm carring. If at home it is with in reach.

The only time I do not carry is when I sleep or in the shower, but it is within arms reach. I also carry cocked and locked.

I work for myself.......so I require myself to carry whenever possible. Now that I have my LCP it's easy for me to carry while working, otherwise it would be difficult. When I go out, I generally ramp up to a G27, Colt Defender or Sig 239SAS. I like 'em all but right now the Sig is getting in the most time.

At work, I am surrounded by fences and armed guards. This is good enough for me and I agreed to it when I took the job.
Otherwise, I am armed almost all of the time as practical.

Growing up in the Knoxville area, I can tell you that you never heard of violent crimes here in the 1950's, 1960's even the 1970's. Then suddenly, in the late 1980s and more so recently, violent, henous, crazy crimes are suddenly in this area.
Hard to explain.
Yes, I can recall the time when we slept with the screen doors unlocked and left the house unlocked and there was never any theft or other crime. For the record, I grew up next to a black neighborhood and we were all friends and good neighbors.

Can't get a CCW in my state because I do not show sufficient cause. I have nonresident CCWs though and I carry every time I leave the state.

From what I can tell in the land of Kalifornia, you'll either need to become a wealthy star or a congressman before you can get a CCL. The average joe or joesaphine doesn't rate.
