I'm stuck because I work on a Military Installation and CCW is prohibited on post. This is a real issue for me because when I really need it--when I go to pick up the grandkids after work--I have to put on my IWB at work or before I go to work and wear it empty. This also requires me to find a place to stop after I leave post, collect my pistol from my trunk in public, load it with the mag inside the passenger compartment, then unbutton my shirt in my car and stuff my pistol through my shirt into the IWB. What a pain in the arse. I have heard about others who just plain carry all the time on post--but I wonder what the penalty might be if caught printing. I sure don't want to lose my retirement check! :O

When I'm off work I carry 100% of the time unless I don't leave the house.

"I usually leave my gun at home "

only because I have to travel out of my home state to be allowed to carry

Unless I'm someplace prohibited by statute (and there aren't that many of those in FL), I'm almost always armed.

You should add this to the poll:

    I carry whenever possible.

Work won't allow carrying. The rest of the time, it's on me everywhere I go. I'm carrying right now in the house in front of the computer. I also have one in the chamber when carrying.

Part of getting dressed. Even hangin' around the house, watching TV, mowing/painting/etc., and as I sit here now.
The more it's carried, the more comfortable (less un-comfortable?) it gets. I've realized, too, that concealment is as much in the mental comfort of the carrier, as it is a visual barrier to the public. That's (partly) why some can carry a 1911 or CZ75 under a T-shirt, and others have a hard time with a P3AT under anything less than a 3-piece suit.

    Stay safe,

    Chuck Brick.
Why do I use 230 gr. for my .45acp?
    Because I can't find a source of 250 gr!

That would be option number 1. :D The "almost" was out of the realization that none of us carries where the law prohibits it and most of us don't carry when nekkid, as in the shower.
