It's the government. It's what they do best. Take our money for services. God bless America.
What was the $3 fee for? They can't charge for a safety check, only to notarize it. The $105 should be out the door. Join MCRGO.ORG www.mcrgo.org and question this if your not already a member.

Congrats on getting you CPL. Sucks that they wanted another $3 for it. I didn't have to pay that in Calhoun County.
Let it go; no sense in getting frustrated over $3.00; I don't know what you make per hour, but i'd bet you spent more than that just typing this here and reading the answers.
Yep, the govmt is there to get us, and it might get worse soon !!!
This said, welcome aboard, train at the range and also in your head; develop your situation awareness and make sure you include your S.O. (if you have one) in your plans.

Gas around here is back below $3 at most stations thank goodness . Cheapest I have seen is $2.749. Lots of places only have regular.
I think that is what they charged me at the county jail for the fingerprint card. That is in Fl and the info about ccw says they can charge a fee for fingerprinting.
Maybe whoever asked for the 3 dollars forgot their wallet and needed some money to hit McDonalds with! You fell for it!
"In those days, there was a lot more respect for other people and it showed in peoples values.... Today the word value means nothing more than something you get on the $1 menu at McDonald's." -BARK'N
congrats and welcome to the world of cc. i had to pay the extra 3 or 5 bucks here in ky, it was for the fact that they took my picture for the license

$3 is nothing but I would just be curious because of principal, what was it for?
I am all for the 1 stop shop where you pay one fee and they do it all in one day to apply, print, photo and train. I traveled 90 miles to do it that way, of course here in Texas traveling 90 miles is a short trip.
Yoda, I am, yes.
