Application was submitted 8/14 and rec'd it today. Just above 2 months. I submitted electronic prints and a card, included 2 photos, and paid with money order... not sure if any of that sped up the process, but I am glad it didn't take the full 90 days.

I'm glad I live in Virginia. We are a 'shall' issue state. If your CCP hasn't been issued in 45 days, the court shall issue a temporary concealed carry letter giving you the necessary document for concealed carry until the permit is issued.

Nope, 26. Actually there were a couple of events within a two month time span where I felt extremely vulnerable with my wife present. Oddly enough, I've lived in South Florida most of my life where people just walk into Wendy's and start shooting for no reason. It wasn't until I moved to the bible belt that I was faced with my own situations. I was discussing the issues with my dad and his response was "well you have your concealed weapons license, right?" Last night was my first time carrying in public. I carry a KelTec PF-9 IWB. I caught myself pulling on the back of my shirt often to make sure it wasn't showing. I also noticed myself watching everyone. I was certain a few people noticed! but looking back I'm sure they were none the wiser...
