Confused about Utah campus carry

While I have not got around to start carrying I have a question about Utah Campus Carry. While it states I can leagaly carry, what are the rules for private/public colleges as far as concealed carry?

Can I carry leagaly in colleges like Salt Lake Community College, Westminister and Weber State? Or can some colleges say no, even when state says yes?

A state university does not have the power to say no to you carrying on campus. A private university does, However as I understand the law, you cant get in trouble for just carrying on a private university campus if your not a student. The trouble if you are a student is they can kick you out of school, if your not a student and are found to be carrying they will ask you to leave the campus at which point if you dont you can get in trouble for trespassing. Again this just my understanding of the law and I really havent concerned myself with it all to much as I go to a state university and have no need to be worried about it cuz I can carry no problems. I know there have been some discussions on it in the past that may be a lil more in depth that im sure a good search would help you out!

so,as a student i can carry on public colleges but not on private campuses?!

From my understanding..

You can only get in trouble at a private campus that you attend.

So you're OK at state colleges, and OK at all private colleges EXCEPT for the one you might or might not attend.
