Doing my part....
Last weekend, I had the opportunity to take a friend (who had only fired a gun once in his life) to the range. This is the first time I've been able to do something like this, and it was actually a lot of fun; we went over gun safety beforehand, spent some time working with my G17, G21, G26, and Bersa .380, and I had him shooting some nice tight little groups before the day was done.
I talked to him earlier this week, and he told me he had just put a G23 on layaway, and is looking into getting his carry permit.
I'm planning on taking another friend (who has never held a gun before) to the range in a few weeks. As someone who goes through their days pretty much surrounded by anti-gun (or pro-gun, anti-carry) people, I feel like I'm finally doing something to change it.
G17, G26
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil...

Great .
Most people who have never held a rifle or pistol do not understand how much pleasure and excitement there is when you punch little holes in a paper target or send a few tin cans flying.
They get hooked real quick and it is then that a better understanding of weapons and the use of them in protecting themselves and their families can be learned.

Great job, it's always a good feeling to know you've passed on a skill and knowledge base to the curious and/or unknowing. I have some work to do myself, my mother WILL NOT even look at a handgun... lol
