Hmmmm my brother in law is a Pastor in Florida and he's into guns. Were pretty close. I wonder if he carries? Im gonna have to bring that up next time we talk.
A local Pastor and I dont know 6-8 others from his church were in my CWP class. He says he carries at the pulpit and has no problem with the congregation doing the same.
Now... back to calling my brother in law.

Thanks for the continued replies, everyone. I am encouraged that there are so many fellow shepherds on this forum. As I always say, there is more than one kind of wolf. May God make us faithful warriors against them all.
I enjoy seeing how many preachers carry. Here in Virginia Church is one of the limitations unless there is a purpose to carry. The church I used to go too I carried due to the pastor telling me he felt safer if I did. I have since been going to a different church where I don't currently carry and I have not asked my Pastor how he felt about it. I feel very insecure each Sunday sitting there unarmed. There are A LOT OF CRAZY PEOPLE out there and who knows when someone will open fire in a church. It would not surprise me at all this day in time.
I would say that protecting yourself from all the crazies that shoot up churches should be legally purpose enough...

Jesus is the "Prince of Peace". But... he was also the pissed off dude who stormed into the Temple, and kicked the crapp out of all the "Money-Changers".
Don't confuse Christianity with, ...wimp ass subjection. That line about..."turning the other cheek" has been widely misunderstood! It actually went like this..."Turn the other cheek, and if that doesn't satisfy them, then...rip their damned throats out!"
Jesus is the Prince of Peace. But he could also "Open Up a Can of Whoopass", when he had to!!
Let us all follow in his example?
