    Renewal Permit

I applied for a renewal CC permit Wednesday after the elections and received it in the mail today, 19 days latter. It took me right at 45 days to get my first one.

You've been very lucky then either way. Renewals here used to be relatively fast.....I'm fixing to find out again shortly after the first of the year. Took over 60 days for my first permit.

I submitted my application (not a renewal) on 10/21 and probably have at least another 30 days to go. They said 60 to 90 days...

Ramrod, ours have been coming in fairly quickly.

    expect 2-3 weeks.

My FL renewal took 10 days...door to door...easy and quick!
I wish FL would come up with a lifetime permit.

By my reading of the law in VA, it appears that we have to apply for renewals between 45 and 180 days of the expiration date if we want to be sure about continuous coverage. When mine comes up I will probably err on the side of caution, given the way Arlington likes to handle these things.

I am still waiting to see if my new permit will be 'lost in the mail' or something...

Yeah, I have little faith in the fact that a bunch of communists who hate guns are going to actually abide by the law if disobeying it is at all possible.

I just applied for my Florida permit. They say 90 days. I just hope it's not outlawed nationally before then.

Last WV renewal took 4 or 5 days. Original was under the "old law", went before a judge, etc., etc. Don't remember how long it took, but same judge told my wife after her judiciary appearance "I don't want to catch you out without it!" Gotta love WV!

Make sure you send it where they have to sign for it. My renewal never got there and I had to wait the 120 days before I could call to chech on it. When I reapplied it came in a week.

All I have to do here in Alabama is drop by my Sheriff's office, see the gent that handles nothing but CCW's, pay my 10 bucks, get my pic made this year and then head out with my new permit.
Usually takes 5 minutes or so. Depends onif anyone is waiting or how much bull the gent wants to shoot.

I live in Florida and have my CCW. It will come up for renewal in 3 years. My question is this: Will they send me a notice to renew my license, or do I have to notify them to get whatever I need to renew?

Fla will send you a renewal notice a few months out, you will need to get an updated passport type photo and just send it back in....with the check of course.

My wife and sent ours in a couple of weeks ago and have been checking my mailbox daily.
