Received my temporary permit today
Yes, another one of these threads!
I've been patiently waiting to get my permit, and though they haven't approved it yet, the 45-day period required by law elapsed last week. So today I went in and the court issued me a temporary permit

Yes, the lady at the court who gave it to me even gave me the 'evil eye' and it was obvious that she was wishing that she lived in Chicago instead at that moment.
I guess this afternoon I should go to Walmart...

Great news! These threads never get tiresome, and yes get over to Wally World after work. It should be very interesting this close after Thanksgiving.

Congrats!
If they don't have nachos at the Wal Mart, go to your local Mexican restaurant before you do the stroll. Besides, they'll taste better...

Will do, saving some cash for more 'formal' training now, but sheesh it's expensive!
I do go to the range and practice everything all the time by myself though. With a .22 conversion for my Glock available I have no excuse for not doing it.
Walmart has been rescheduled to wednesday
