Thumbs down Got Made at Work

Well, due to some quick thinking, I averted possible unemployment.

I was sitting at my desk when the marketing manager came over and started talking about how one of our vendors logo would go up the side of the jersey for the bike team we sponsor. In doing so she ran her hand up the side of my shirt in explaining where the logo would be placed. As she did so, she brushed the grip of my XD-45 with her hand but kept talking. I thought to myself maybe she didn't notice. I keep my weapon in my Crossbreed SuperTuck under a t-shirt and overshirt. I happened to use the tuck feature today (which I normally do not do) so the t-shirt was concealing it completly.

Anyway, she stepped out of my office for a second and I quickly moved my cell phone holster from my left hip to my right hip between my t-shirt and overshirt directly in line with my holster.

A few seconds later, she came in and said, "What are you, FBI? What do you got under there?" I laughed and said, "My field agent walkie talkie," and lifted my overshirt just enough for her to see my phone in its case and quickly pulled it out and asked, "Did I show you this picture of my baby yet?" I quickly pulled up a picture of my youngest boy. She suddenly became interested in the baby and forgot all about what she thought she felt and left after that. WHEW! That was close!

If she did find out, it could have gone either way. She's a staunch Republican and knows I like guns but I don't know how she would have reacted. I hope to never find out.

Quick thinking and gj. I would of given that one a thumbs up instead of a thumbs down.

Lucky you. Personally, I probably wouldn't carry at work if it is explicitly not permitted. It is just too easy to be made.

    Quick thinking.

Does your company have a no carry policy? If not, what's the problem?

Very fast thinking. I'd be sunk, I keep my phone in my pocket and refuse to use a phone holster.

Man this is the kind of gunfu story I like to hear/read about.
Great thinking on your part. Very James Bond, or rather Maxwell Smart. :p

Diversion is such a great and easy method to use on humans.
