Girlfriend touched my piece and just said WOW!

So I have been carrying religiously since I got my permit this past July and for the first time I thought I had actually been made. I was watching tv w/ my girlfriend last night when she laid down and rested her head on my lap and she felt my j-frame in my pocket! At this point I was thinking oh boy, here comes the talk (I haven’t told anyone except my father that I carry). She proceeded to pat it and just say WOW and kept watching tv! Ha, not sure what she thought it was because she patted both pockets…. But either way I thought it was an interesting experience. All this time I have been so worried about printing and how this bulge looks etc… and my girlfriend did not think GUN even after she touched it (she’s been shooting w/ me too… actually she is the one who got me into firearms)!!! I wanted to share this with everybody to help ease people’s concern with concealment. Just cover it up and don’t worry about it!!! Oh and Happy Holidays all!

I can guess what she knew it wasn't.

Nevermind, I forgot we were talking about a snubbie.

Ahh I was trying to keep it clean... but I guess thats just not gonna happen!!! But seriously thats what happened and I was not trying to make it "that kind of thread". My intention was to share an interesting experience w/ the forum!

SnubMan ... your observation is true. Most everyone is so caught up in their own issues, they're not out there looking to see if we are "printing". In my experience, if you are not looking or acting suspecious, most people pay little (if any) attention to you.

My sentiments exactly. I was surprised that she didn't ask... especially after she patted both pockets down. I'm figuring she just thought it was some of the gear that I usually carry that she believes unnecessary (pocket knife, pepper spray, flashlight etc.).

Hope you don't disappoint her...I mean, if she assumes it was a Glock and it only turns out to be a NAA Mini.

No, I feel like she would have wanted to talk about it. The other night she saw the clip from my pocket knife and was asking me why I was even bothering to bring a pocket knife out because we were going to a “safe area”. I told her I don’t carry the knife for protection but because it’s a useful tool (I use it constantly). So if she knew it was a gun I’m sure she would have wanted to talk about because we were at her home in a “safe area”.
