Finally saw my 2nd 30.06 sign

I have been a real live CHL holder for about 9 months now, been carrying in the car more than that and have been searching for the TX 30.06 posting while waiting for my CHL to arrive and I just now saw only my 2nd one.

The Presbyterian Hospital in Allen, TX is legally posted. What stinks is, other than being disarmed, was the fact that I had to gimp myself back to the car with my cane and in the freezing rain (yes, it does happen in TX). By the time I got back to the door to go see my Ortho Surgeon I was soaking wet.

Just venting I guess. I should have checked Texas3006.com - Your 30.06 Information Resource - Home before I went as it is listed in there as being posted.

I recently saw my first one in Schertz, outside of San Antonio, in a Chinese restaurant.
There are almost NONE in Houston, I've noticed. At least not the places I go.

Wow - I've been looking - haven't seen any yet. I'm in Arlington.

I know I'll see another one in a month when I go back to get my calf looked at again, but now I know .

The only other place I have seen one is at the movie theater at Grapevine Mills mall, which I have heard they have now posted all the doors to the mall now , I guess I never liked that mall anyway.

The only two that I have seen are (1) Taco Cabana in Rockwall, (2) the movie theater at Fire-Wheel Mall in Garland. They will never get another dollar of mine as long as they maintain this position, and both are about to be notified of a legal-gun owners displeasure by mail (both local and HQ). Hopefully all of us will began to notify and not simply turn away.

Our local hospital has one as well as a civic center on the south side. The hospital had a 51% sign at first which was a little confusing.

I've seen a few gun busters around but just smiled as I walked on in.

GO TO MY CAR AND leave my pistol. Each time i think about not disarming but i don't want to lose my permit. I understand how you felt.

I too live in NC, please join Grass Roots of NC so we can get some of these crazy laws changed!! I have been CCing for 13+ years and have seen plenty of those signs. In NC the sign can be written on cardboard and you must abide.

I was just at the Taco Cabana in Rockwall and did not see signage... In fact, I didn't go there for a long time after they opened because I was told that they had it... but I've never seen it there.

Only have seen them here at the two major local hospitals. No where else. But from time to time I will see one of the old "gost buster" signs.

THAT's my kind of hospital, if they make 51% of their income due to alcohol sales.

Here in Houston, some have it and some do not. The one in Tomball does and the one in Spring does not...???? always wondered about that.

Well I've spent 2 weeks in Texas in the last six months. Went through a hurricane on Padre Island and Christmas near Dallas. Ate at several restaurants that serve alcohol (no 30.06 signs seen), with my weapon concealed. Can't do that in Virginia. Last time when I got home, made a point of writing a LTE telling as many as possible that it's sad VA legislators don't trust their citizens as much as Texas' do. Doubt it will make a difference but had to do it.

I hope it works for ya. We would only have to be concerend with the 30.06 or the 51% signs.
