Carry Twins? Who Carries 2 of the same gun?

I know a few people carry two guns. I was wondering if anyone carries the same gun. I only carry one, an XD9sc, but I think its small enough to carry another if I decided to pull double duty, which I doubt I will. Does anybody do this?

I own two of the same (well a PPS 9mm and a PPS .40) but I don't carry two. I just bought them because I like the way they feel in my hand and I didn't want a learning curve for a different type. While I have many pistols the Walther PPS is far and away my favorite carry gun ever.

    Welcome to the forum.

One gun is plenty for me. It is probably enough for you too.

Often, when people carry 2 pistols, they try to share magazines. Think Glock family... Then a spare mag will function in both and you have some interchangeability if necessary.

Back in the day, I used to carry two Kahr 9mm's simultaneously: a Kahr P9 Covert behind the hip in a HBE COM 2.5 IWB holster and a PM9 in a pocket holster. Not exactly the same gun (the P9 Covert mated a P9 slide/barrel to a PM9 frame); but close enough for gov't work....same magazines and manual-of-arms.

Well, they are not identical twins but there are times that I carry both my M&P 45c and 9c. Usually if I carry 2 it will be my 45c and my Jframe...not twins but still keepin it in the family!

I've thought about it but don't have two of the same to do that at this time. Might be awkward but I've thought about shoulder holster with one on each side.

I have three guns (PT111MilPro, PT140 MilPro and PT145Pro)that are not identical caliber wise but close enough and the idea of carrying two of them in my double shoulder holster rig has crossed my mind. I do carry an EDC (G27) and a BUG (P3AT or Colt Mustang Plus II) most of the time.

Not always, but often, carry my Keltec P3 AT in my coat pocket, for something to get to very quickly in winter, when my main pistol is under layers of clothing.

No, but in the winter I often carry two guns. P3AT in a pocket and a bigger gun IWB. I have a few choices for the bigger gun and my mood dictates which is chosen. I have thought about getting a second P3AT to double up, but haven't yet and I would rather have a bigger powder charge and longer barrel on my second gun anyway.

It's called a New York reload.

My buddy has a similar holster for his 1911s, but the guns go the opposite way, which I don't think makes as much sense.
