I've been a member for the last two years; a very worthwhile organization.

Im a member... U.S. Concealed Carry Association nice organization and the best magazine avail out there, the site (as long as you pay the extra for it) allows downloads of past issues and such. Have been a member for approx 2 years.

I was a member. I felt it was misleading by calling themselves US and Association. Plus the forums participation was not that great - mainly because of membership numbers not being that great. The magazine was pretty good. But forget all those downloads that are of such a "huge value" for free - nothing I found was worth my time. If you like the magazine - go that route and fore go all else. I cancelled mine. But they did have a trial membership - they still might. $70+ was too much. You will get all the info you need here - but if you like a lot of fluff - give them a try.

I just noticed they have lowered their membership dues to $47.00 - better than what they used to charge. I haven't been a member for over a year.

I used to be a member, but like Flyboy said...it was just too much.

I've been a USCCA member for 4 years but decided not to renew for 2009. I rarely visit the web site and I found that only about every third or fourth issue of the magazine contained anything of interest, so it wasn't worth the price to me.

Same here , thought thought it was a bit much $$$ in these tight times. On their E-mail list good info from time to time.

Agree on the cost. Someone should forward this thrad to them
I carry a gun for the same reason I own a smoke detector...I never, ever, plan on needing them...but if I do need them, and have them in a box...I won't be able to get to them for use fast enough.

I was a member. I still think it's a good magazine. The cost was very high and a lot of the "must have secrets" are not free, you have to buy the book, tape whatever.

I don't have a problem with them advertising, I just don't necessarily like the way they're doing it.

I was a member and agree with all above comments. It was essentially an 8 or 10 magazine a year subscription for $60, and not even any centerfolds. I much much prefer the exchange, humor and camaraderie on this forum.

You can opt out of the email ads, which I always do to keep my spam level to a minimum. I also use a "throw-down" email account when signing up for stuff so my official email doesn't get chock full of spam and unwanted emails.

I have been a member for about 2 years. It's not a bad site, but I keep going back to it and am finding not much that is new. I like the monthly magazine a lot, a lot of info that I find good, but the site only mirrors what was in the magazine, although you do have access to old issues. I'm not sure if I will continue my subscription, definitely not at $70. At $47 I might, after all it is for a whole year. I also want to mention that I do get tired of the self-promo emails for his stuff.
