2 months for me in Washtenaw County.
7 weeks in Kalamazoo County. My brother in laws took less than 3. Depends when yousubmit the paperwork in relation to the next gun board meeting. Seems to be the case on this side of the state. A friend in Allegan Co. got his in less than a week.
GO HUSKERS!!
Five weeks for my wife in Jackson county. Three years ago it took 10 weeks for mine.
Wayne County, my first was 5 months (!). So was my last renewal. But I hear they've sped up their process.
Doesn't matter, as you know it goes by County, you really need to know an answer for Monroe County. FWIW, the Clerk's office probably knows how long it's been taking and could tell you. Failing that, maybe try Arfcom's Hometown Forum for Michigan and ask if anyone there has recent experience with Monroe County. Good luck.

Allegan County is generally the fastest that I have hear of. There gun board pretty much automatically approves everyone. Here in Ottawa county we have to go before the gun board. I know lately here they have been meeting more than the twice a month just to keep up with demand! From what I have heard lately- Kent co. is ~2 months, Ottawa is ~3 weeks and Allegan ~2 weeks. That being said, we are talking government here!

I applied for mine just before Labor Day in Grand Traverse county, took about 7 weeks for my gun board appearance. The gun board is merely a formality, if you made it that far 99% will be accepted. Congrats on the permit, all you gotta do now is wait! :wave.
If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down & lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, & may posterity forget you were countrymen.
about 6-8 weeks in Kent County.
It took me only a couple weeks for the background check to come back, then i think i had to wait 2-3 weeks till the next local gunboard meeting (which is a BIG waste of time)![]()

About a month in Calhoun County. I put my paper work in early May and went to the gun board in June.
Took six weeks, on the day for me, in macomb county. The gun board meeting was outrageous. I saw people with all kinds of past charges against them get permits.
