    Handgunlaw.us is Changing

We have changed the format at Handgunlaw.us. We now have state pages with all the info for each state on its own page. There are also numerous other pages for other information on Carrying a Concealed Firearm. There is still some tweaking to do (The New York City Page is still not posted) and other features may be added to each state page.

I am not posting this to drive up hits on Handgunlaw.us. We make no money on the site and put the site up as a service to those who want to carry a firearm and stay within the law. The one thing I do know after doing this for over 13 years is that people want correct information and they expect things to work. Broken links mean that the site is not being taken care of. With that said, what I am seeking is feedback on the information as posted.

Is there information that needs corrected? Are their Spelling or grammar errors? Do all the links work? Do you know of a better link? Do you have a link you think needs added to a page? If you visit Handgunlaw.us and see something that needs repaired or added just click on “Contact Us” at the bottom of the main page and let us know. We would very much appreciate it.

Do give me time to make the updates to the site. I have to add the info to the document and then send it to Steve who posts it on the site. It takes some time especially when there is a family matters, vacation or work that has to be taken care of first.

First of all, thank you for your wonderful site. You provide a valuable service to us all.

Second, I like the idea and the reasoning for the new organization of the site.

An unarmed populace are called subjects.

Ditto on what everyone has said...Thanks for the site and ALL you provide and do.
Sometimes in life you have to stand your ground. It's a hard lesson to learn and even most adults don't get it, but in the end only I can be responsible for my life. If faced with any type of adversity, only I can overcome it. Waiting for someone else to take responsibility is a long fruitless wait.

handgunlaw.us is a great site and an amazing resource, but one of the changes is a bit -- for lack of a better word -- annoying to me.

I noticed that you guys recently changed the state links from JPG images to PDFs. While this certainly makes it much easier to print out the pages for a "hard copy" reference, it's made it more difficult to view the pages as a quick reference (i.e. for use in forums, IMs, etc.). It's much faster to load an image than it is to wait for the Adobe plugin to load, and then work with the PDF.

Is it possible for you guys to restore access to the images, while keeping the PDFs in place for users who want to print the information?

    Thanks!
