Reciprocity question. Sort of... (Fl./Mi.)
Living in Michigan and possessing a Michigan CPL (concealed pistol license), I know I'm covered in Florida with reciprocity (covered in about 36 States in fact!
).
But Florida issues a concealed weapons license. In Florida, their permit holders are allowed knives and a variety of other options in addition to pistols. What I'm wondering here, is when I visit Florida, does my Michigan CPL provide me with the same options as the Florida license? IOW, can I also carry a knife, or other Florida legal weapon there with my Michigan license?

Good question, however, why carry a knife when you can carry a gun?
Colo's is a CHL (Concealed Handgun License). It is for handguns only.
An armed populace are called citizens.
An unarmed populace are called subjects.

So is Michigan's. And as to why? Maybe I want to carry both? Maybe I'm just curious? Maybe I'm leaving the Country (where I can't take a gun) and returning through Florida, planning to stay there awhile, and could pick up a knife (or take one with me)? Perhaps I just want to know if it's addressed anywhere and thought it might be an interesting topic of discussion. Could be lot's of reasons for the question.
Gotta say, I did expect your question in response. But that doesn't answer the question.

I would suggest contacting FL's Attorney General on the matter, or follow both states carry laws (which ever is the more limiting) to be on the safe side.

IANAL, but my understanding is that since you have reciprocity, when in FL, you must obey their law and since their law for conceal carry allow other weapons you would be legal to carry them as well. Just like when someone from FL goes to IN, which is open carry with permit, they can open carry.
