I hate premature ''whoopee's'' but - is this really what I think and hope it is for you guys? Must be, yeah?

Don't tell me I am wrong but - I have jumped to conclusions before and don't want to be here.

It's close, but they're House of Reps (Assembly) still need to override the veto. I think all they need is one "yes" vote to switch to a "no" to defeat the bill. 50/50 at best?

These are the Assembly Dems that voted for the bill the first time. One of these holds the keys to the override:

    Representative Barbara Gronemus (888) 534-0091
    rep.gronemus@legis.state.wi.us

    Representative Mary Hubler (888) 534-0075
    rep.hubler@legis.state.wi.us

    Representative Marlin Schneider (888) 529-0072
    rep.schneider@legis.state.wi.us

    Representative John Steinbrink (608) 266-0455
    rep.steinbrink@legis.state.wi.us

Representative Terry Van Akkeren (608) 266-0656
    rep.vanakkeren@legis.state.wi.us

Representative Amy Sue Vruwink (888) 534-0070
    rep.vruwink@legis.state.wi.us

Still not too late to contact them. If the "fat lady" sings, let it be for us (and all of the sheep that don't realize the importance of the sheep dogs)!

I just spoke with Democratic Rep. Vruwink's office and they thought the vote may come up next Tuesday, but for sure within the next week or two. I confirmed that she has no plans of going over to the wrong side.

As of this a.m., the website for the WI Assembly still shows this on their calendar for Tuesday, 1/31. They’re not in session today (Friday) or Monday. Let’s help fill their emails & voicemails with the importance of overriding the veto!

For selfish reasons, how nice it would be to cross the river from MN to visit my “home land”, where the Packers and cheese (there’s actually a town named Colby) reign. Believe it or not I was raised in a town named Pittsville.

Let’s give it one more push.

Kat - last night I sent off emails - written of course as a PA resident but voicing stong but polite support for the WI act - presenting a ''united front'' for CCW.

I am hoping that tho just another small voice it might help a small bit.
