Wow...I wouldn't want to have the cops show up to a situation where I had just discharged my firearm in SD only to have what appears to be another person removing possible evidence. That would be doubly the case if that evidence was more firearms.

If you're not a BG I would not want to give the police any reason to think that you are acting like one. :) So I would leave them put and let the DA figure it out.

Agree with most everyone. Up until you're arrested/charged with a crime, I'm not sure it would even be legal (2nd amendment violation) for them to remove weapons that weren't actually part of the investigation. Once you're arrested/charged, then all bets are off and, like archer51 said, if that happens you've got bigger problems.

i dont see why they would confiscate any of your other guns. unless you were in possession of more than 1 at the time of the SD shoot

The only way I can see them taking the guns is if they were "stolen property" that the BG was stealing at the time of the SD shooting. Then they fall into the evidence category, especially if the BG survives.

I think its a bad idea all the way around. It potentially puts you in a TON more trouble and could implicate your friend in God know what. Be Safe!

I know a man who got into a domestic situation and was shot by his wife with her 22 handgun. Although he was the victim, all of his firearms were confiscated right down to his Daisy Red Rider.

When the trial was finally over, he got all of his firearms back.
    The wife is another story...............................

Reborn I think that is pretty much standard practice now if its a possible domestic incident until its proven otherwise. Did they ever charge the wife with filing a false Police Report?
