Last week my wife went outside and there were two guys in our backyard. They took off into the woods before she could tell exactly who they were. It was enough for me to carry the rest of the week at home. Is it paranoid to carry at home?

In todays world I think it is perfectly normal to carry at home. I can't say I do it all the time(have a weapon on me) but there is one close at all times. I do think there should be a weapon available all the time because-you just never know!
I carry at home all the time.

Its always a great day, if you don't believe me try missing one.

No. Just look at the number of home invasions in the US where someone is home. Bad things can happen anywhere, even in your kitchen. Is it paranoid to carry at home?
I carry all the time, at home or out. I started doing that so that I didn't have to worry about locking my pistol up or having my kids get a hold of it. I have sevearl time been glad that i do carry at home.

Absolutely.

The BG already has the jump on you, even in your own home! He has the element of suprise, his nerves are already on high alert, he may already have his weapon drawn and he/they are EXPECTING to be confronted.
Absolutly, you should carry around the home if you feel so inclined. I do 24/7 when awake and my wife and kids don't even think about the fact that I am, it is just normal for this house. My carrying does not hinder my life in anyway, it does quite the opposite...it allows me to live with less fear.

when @ home if i'm not carrying there is a pistol w/in arms length almost @ all times
What is that saying? 100% of all home invasions happen at home. We have guns that are easily accessible if we are not carrying.

Yup, I OC at home all the time. If Im in the yard or anywhere else on the property I have it OC. In the house it sits on the coffee table in front of me. The nightstand is its resting place next to me in bed....

In addition to what others have said, if you carry at home that will greatly reduce the chance that you might step out "just briefly" and forget to take a pistol with you.

I always carry at home, in the house or yard. Home invasions can happen anywhere even in small towns.
