Getting Too Close - My Turn
I don't know if others will be as amused by this as I was, but I also learned a precaution that I will use in the future.
I was in a shop that I like. Nobody was in the place but the owner and me so I asked him if I could compare a Ruger LCP to the Kahr he sold me a couple weeks back. I removed the Kahr from my IWB holster, unloaded it, and got the nod that he was comfortable with it. On impulse I ended up buying the LCP and some .380. In the parking lot I thought I spotted him in my rear view mirror but figured he wasn't looking for me when he passed my car and 2 others before cutting between the parked cars. Then I see him waving at me. I got the credit card receipt but forgot the store receipt. I got out and thanked him, then left. I kept wondering why he didn't come right up to my car and I was nearly home before the answer came to me. At the tender age of 52 someone finally thinks I'm dangerous!!!!! He didn't want to come up from behind and startle me.
