    Ouchhh! I deserved that one.

I'll just have to think of something else to post about until I actually have it in my hands.

And I'll certainly post that happy event!!

I do appreciate all the support from this Forum!

All in fun Mike, the story was excellent. Haven't laughed like that in a long time. Glad this has worked out well for you, any chance you asked those folks if this would be a continuing problem come permit renewal time?

You know what? I didn't think to ask about that renewal thing. . .

But it shouldn't be an issue. All the paper work generated in my protracted application process was "added to my file." After the intial permit, the renewal process is just sending in a form and including a check. I imagine they do run a check to see if anything new has been added to your history.

I'm going to let them rest up a while, and then I'll ask about any potential hang-ups a renewal might bring.

    Good thinking! Thanks!

"All in fun." That the assumption I generally work under. My hide has gotten so thick lately that you'd really have to get ugly before I'd start to suspect you actually meant something by it.

My wife, Dementia, has explained to me that "rotten S.O.B." is actually a term of endearment!

    Yeah, that sounds about right.

"rat bastid," in the nicest possible way.

Wimmen! Can't live with them, and in this state anyway, can't shoo.. . Uh, nevermind!

Absolutely amazed me how polite and professional all of the folks involved in the CWP process here in Florida were. The gal taking the prints chatted up so much of a storm I actually had to excuse myself before the better half began wondering precisely where it was we went and what in fact we were doing for so long. An email inquiry as to the status of the application was answered promptly and I was notified when the license was in the mail. Government run the way it is supposed to run...quite the concept.

    Congrats again, Mike.

    GunnyBob,

I got an email in response to the one I sent Mr. Bronson about what a great job his people were doing. I have been assured that copies of it have been forwarded up and down the chain of command.

In this world where complaints are the norm, I wanted to make sure credit was given where it was due.

Which reminds me, thanks for the advice you posted in the other thread, "Good. Now go practice. Some more." That was straight to the point, and on target!
