S&W Sigma 40VE...one in the chamber, always...with a fully loaded magazine. The only safety is the trigger, like the Glocks.

I carry my cz 2075 Rami, one in the chamber, half cocked, double action mode. I would carry cocked and locked but the safety is a low-profile one and difficult for me to push to 'off".

Glocks, Kahr and Kel Tec chambered. My old Smith & Wesson model 59 DA/SA decocked when engaging the safety (which also rolls in place to block the firing pin) so hammer down on chambered round for that one (UNcocked and locked).

Anyone carrying without a round chambered really should rethink their situation IMHO.

Same here - one in the pipe and the safety engaged with a full magazine. I have practiced drawing my gun and placing my thumb on the safety while it is still in the holster before I draw is second nature for me.

My P2000 is DA/SA w/decocker but w/no safety. I carry w/one in the pipe & I don't top off the mag. (What do you do w/the extra rnd. after you clear your gun? It's a PIA.)

one in the chamber, hammer down. I can just pull DA, I have the power to pull the trigger once for the DA action. if I have the chance, i might just pull the hammer, and now i'm all good.

My everyday carry is G26, one in the pipe, full mag.

But at my c-store is a gun by the register, which is a Taurus PT-92. That has a decocker; on it I have a full (15 rd mag) loaded in, I cycle it putting a round in the chamber, then decock it so now the first round is DA, all the rest SA. It is ready to rock and roll, just grab and shoot.

Each to his own, but I would never carry without one in the chamber. As a defender you'll need all the extra time you can get.
Anti-gunners seem to believe that if we just pass enough laws, we can have utopia. Unfortunately, utopia is NOT one of our choices.

me neither... 21 rounds is better than 20!!! (or 13 instead of 12 lol)

i love how in the movies they'll cycle the slide like 3 times (in diff parts of movie where no shooting has occurred) before they go shooting LOL

I used to carry empty pipe and was strongly "advised" here to re-consider.
Well that was some time ago, and I had to "get there" on my own, in my own manner of comfort.
Many thanks by the way, to the Moderators here who privately PM'd me on methods for practicing and getting comfortable with carrying the way I need to.

Having said that, I now carry my 1911 as it should, but if (on rare occasions) when I carry my P-95, it is with 1 in the pipe and decocked.
It’s so much easier now days, to "Love and honor" my wife, when she is armed, and shoots a better group than I do. (Till death do us part, eh?)
