I've only mentioned it to someone once, but it wasn't a "printing" issue (I don't know how many times I've made out the butt of a semi-auto under a vest or untucked shirt on someone). That's completely different than the scenario below.

As you might be able to deduce from my avatar, I'm very involved in youth soccer in the area, and have been for some time. I was in the local youth soccer organization office one day, and a father came in to fix a registration problem with his twin girls. He was wearing an untucked black t-shirt and black jeans, but the tail of his t-shirt had ridden up and become hung up on the Glock 26 or 27 he was carrying small of back (holstered, at least--not Mexican carry). I just simply mentioned to him that his Austrian Tupperware was showing, and he might want to adjust his shirt. He was very appreciative, but very embarrassed as well. Luckily, the small size and color of the Glock against the black t-shirt and jeans left it so camo'd that nobody may have even noticed it, but you never know.

    Cheers!

Last time I checked this was still the United States where it is legal to carry openly. The BGs are always going to carry. You'd best mind your own business and be aware of your surroundings. You'll do good just taking care of yourself.

Blueberry with a scoop or two or three of ice cream...

More than likely I would not say anything unless it was someone I knew.

Check again. The laws vary from State to State on this.

If someone's right next to me, I suppose I might consider saying something. But then, it's probably irrelevant. That person isn't acting in a threatening manner. My bringing it to attention might well end up doing exactly that, and starting a "stir" amongst the previously-asleep crowd around us. Probably best left alone, unless the cat's already out of the bag (ie, soccer mom in aisle 3 got panicky due to having seen it and was apoplectic). But then, what about in a state in which OC was fine.

Overall, probably not worth worrying about. People will take it the way they take it, and little I do will alter that.

    Why the angry tone?

I'd mind my own business, and thank God that at least part of America is alive and well.

I like pie as well, strawberry rhubarb, extra tart.

As with so many things in life: it depends. Is it obvious to me because I know what to look for or is there a perfect gun-shaped silhouette under the shirt? Here in southern California, a call about a "man with gun" will in all likelihood result in the loss of the ccw. There is also the complicating factor of unlicensed ccw which is quite common here. I just won't know until it comes up. So far, the only printing I've seen is so subtle that I'm reasonably sure that most people would be oblivious or so flagrant that I know the guy is an off-duty cop.

Since OC is legal and becoming more popular in my state, I would most likely either ignore it... or if the opportuniaty came up say Hi... since my sidearm would already be exposed.

    I'll take my pie ala-mod

Right. We wouldn't know if he has a permit or not.

I'd leave him alone, but be on full alert.

I would follow this guy all over the store keeping him under strict observation. I would keep just enough distance between us and not get too close to create suspicion. If he passes up the ammo display in sporting goods and leaves the store without buying any Nacho's... I'm calling 911.
