I prefer "The Sensuous Dirty Old Man" by Dr."A" :)
Dr. "A" is the one and only Isaac Asimov! For those not familiar with him Isaac Asimov was one of the most prolific writers of all time, having written or edited more than 500 books and an estimated 9,000 letters and postcards. His works have been published in nine of the ten major categories of the Dewey Decimal System (the sole exception being the 100s; philosophy and psychology). He was a respected scientist and the president of Mensa.
The book is a riot and well worth searching out. It's out of print but available at abebooks.com and amazon. I stumbled across it at the local library used book store (it was a donated not ex-library book) and scored a copy for $1. One of my best book finds ever.
As Dr. "A" says, "Don't peep at girls - STARE!"
The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary.-H. L. Mencken

The preceding post may contain sarcasm; it's just better that way. However, it is still intended with construction and with the Love of my L-rd Y'shua.

Am I the only one who thinks it odd he asked about "where I took my class"
Is that a Massachusetts thing? Does everyone with a gun there have to take some sort of class? Made me wonder if she really was printing - so he knew she had a CCW??? Why would he ask about a class?
From one woman to another.... Krockett... I'd be creeped out! When I took my CCW class, there was one guy who kept asking me questions during the breaks. I am NOT a cute hot young chick. I'm 50, out of shape, and not "hot"... Why wasn't he talking to the guys? Plus, I had a heck of a cold, and was sneezing and coughing all over! Yuck!

I would definitely feel very uncomfortable playing the "show me your's & I'll show you mine" game in a Wally world. I seriously wonder why he would be showing you his gun in such a open place all the same.

You know, I am not an old man yet, but I will admit that I am a dirty man.
This guy was just creepy.
My wife unfortunately has gotten to encounter a few of those creepy old men. I don't know why, maybe loneliness is the primary reason and having the chance to speak with a pretty young lady turns their clock. I am sure there is a percentage that have evil motives.
All I can say is, do what she does when they get to close and wont leave you alone. Be firm and with an authoritative voice, tell them to back off. Increase the volume each time you have to repeat yourself. Even if they are persistent, they usually get the message that this isn't going to go well for them by the third command to leave you alone. If they don't, well, you may have some more serious worries starting to come at you, but hopefully you will have the attention of some good samaritans if you are in a public place.
Who can resist a damsel in distress?
I will support gun control when you can guarantee all guns are removed from this planet. That includes military and law enforcement. When you can accomplish that, then I will be the last person to lay down my gun. Then I will carry the weapon that replaces the gun.

Amateur LEO impersonator?
Red flags and alarms would have been going haywire the second he touched his weapon.
Conversation is one thing, he crossed the line even if he was legit.
On hiatus.
Hit my limit for speculation, the sky is falling, and gun owners fighting amongst themselves.

Yea it is a MA thing, you need to take a class and have the paperwork to prove it to get a license. You can't buy pepper spray, ammo or a gun before you have a license.
Gotta love the laws in MA!!! There are millions of them!

I believe he was an environmental police, he was wearing the typical clothing, I mentioned jacket and hat but his jacket was zipped part way up, I think he was wearing a typical uniform for them.

Pulled out his gun? I've done that sort of thing once, though not at a store with non-shooting folks. It was one of the silliest (and most potentially dangerous) things I've ever done, and it won't happen again. But, I can't believe that a law enforcement officer did that in a public place.

Plain & Simple - What he did was irresponsibly, un-professionally, un-justifiably WRONG! - REPORT IT ASAP to his department.
Leave it holstered unless you intend to use it!

I presume, he noticed you where armed, and just wanted to chat a bit with you to make sure you where “OK”.
Some seasoned officers and Fed’s can notice the littlest thing and know your armed. And instead of asking for your “ID” they sometime strike up a conversation with you to clarify or make sure your no threat.
On the other hand, he may of just be flirting.

Sorry, guys and gals, I'm new here. What does it mean when you ask, "Does my visit to Wal-Mart count?"
Haven't heard that before. (forgive my ignorance)
