Safe, secure way to car carry?

I can't carry at work, but I hate to be unarmed on the way to/from and leaving my hardware in the glove box isn't appealing.

I've seen some metal formed lockable holsters for mounting in vehicles.... I drive a car so the truck/under seat safes aren't an option.

Does anyone have this same problem and do you have a solution?

How about some pictures if you do.

+1. Comes with a cable to attach to a seat frame, mine slides under the seat and disappears.

I have one in both my truck and car. They are great and fit under seats just fine, they are very thin.

I'm flying to Missouri tomorrow and I'm using one of them as a lock box for my Glock 36. It fits in the safe just fine with two magazines and a 20 round box of ammunition.

I bought the large one from Cabella's a few months ago, and it was under $30. Nice and slim; pretty well built. Bigger guage cable might be nice but not essential.

More handguns are stolen from a glove box than anywhere else!

Buy a lock box and cable it under a seat...out of sight!

Thieves get in and out quick.....break the window, take what's visible and check the glovebox. They don't want to spend time looking for things and certainly dn't want to take the time to cut through a cable.

So I hear. I'm at work right now and its 23 degrees here in beautiful (and allegedly warm) North Carolina. Heat doesn't bother me, but I hate the cold. I was thrilled to her this weekend in Missouri was going to be nice.

I own three Secure-It's. They seem identical to the Center-Of-Mass versions. Had I known about the Center Of Mass Central web site they would all have the same key. Now there is a combination lock version, but I notice they are currently not available.

    Anyone try one of these?

I am also looking for a way to secure a firearm in the car.

Looks like it would hold a little more stuff than one of the COM safes.
