As far as I know this passed through just in time before Mr. B O could stop Bush's last minute work so AFAIK you can carry in national parks. But I haven't yet.

Keep in mind the law says that you can carry in National Parks if carry is allowed in your state park . . . So no state park carry, no national park carry.

I do not know the rules for your state.

I also thought this was the case, but folks on another gun forum insist that the latest, adopted set of rules do not have that stipulation. Until I have time to read the rules, I'm not going to chance it (not that I'm headed to a national park anytime soon anyway).

Where on Handgunlaw.us is it reporting No NP Carry?

I hope I didn't miss anything but I have done it before. Where on Handgunlaw.us does it say you can't carry in National Parks. I believe we updated all the info on the site so it stated after Jan 9, 2009 we had the right to carry in NP's if you could legally carry in the state the NP was in. Please point out where it states you are not allowed to carry on Handgunlaw.us. I can't find it but that does not mean I missed something.

Also the reference to being allowed to carry in NP's only if you can carry in the state parks in the state was removed from the regulation. It doesn't matter what state law says about state parks. If you can legally carry in the state the NP is in you can carry in the NP even if state law says you can't carry in that states state parks. Thank you and

Yep............. On the New Mexico Page I had copied and pasted from the NM DPS the places off limits and they had National Parks in their listing. Thanks for the heads up. It is very much appreciated.

Heard Laura Ingram on Hannity's radio show today mentioning that their was some type of legislation against CC in parks in this stimulus package.
No details, just a heads up of info to come out of the bill.

The regulation was open to public comment and the time period was even extended. It was published in the Federal Register and the regulation became effective Jan. 9, 2009. They can change it but they have to do it by their rules which means they must open it up and have another comment period and then make the change and then publish it in the federal register. Then 30 days after it is published it would become the new regulation. But as of now If you can legally carry in the state the NP is in then you can carry in the NP.
