Do you carry a long gun in your vehicle?

We have all seen the shotguns and AR's locked up in patrol cars, granted that leo's run into trouble all day long, there still running the streets with same people we are. There have been multiple shootings just in Jackson,MS with AK's, Uzis, Mac 10 where more then 20+ rounds have been fired. I'm sure none of us can forget the riot scenes where people are pulled out of there vehicles and beaten. So how many have a little extra when out and about?

    That's not entirely true.
If you have a carry permit, you may have a loaded gun in your car.
Without a permit, you may have an unloaded gun in your car.

I have a self-modified, breakdown Springfield .30-'06 in a bag in my car, along with a .45 pistol, and ammunition for both.
My wife has something similar in her car, except that her rifle is an SKS and her pistol a 9mm Chinese Tokarev.

    Is that legal

Is that lega hat wouldnt sound too good in court. Man runs to his car to retrieve his ar-15 only to slaughter every "bad guy" is sight. This is not saying i wouldnt carry one if it is indeed legal.

Always at least a .22 and usually a centerfire rifle in the truck, but I do spend 90% of my time here on the farm. Of the folks I know, you'd be had pressed to find a pick-up without one in it around here.

Only when making a trip to the range, or if I'm travelling. Day-to-day, no. My handgun is there to get me "out," and if I get to my vehicle it'll hopefully get me "further out." I can't imagine any engagement scenario (aside from home defense) other than to escape.

    Stay safe,

    Chuck Brick.
Why do I use 230 gr. for my .45acp?
    Because I can't find a source of 250 gr!

I nearly always keep my .06 in my vehicle, with 50 rds. You never know when you may want/need it.

I don't have a trunk or any secure area to keep one, so no. If I did, it would probably be a takedown .22 like a US Survival.
