Thanx for all of the replies everybody, Bye the way I am in Beaufort County not the town of "Beaufort" right off the coast.
Just went to the Sheriff's office and got my wife's application submitted and finger printed. The lady said applications are up 300% and it may take longer than the 90 days, but they will have some contact before then if it is going to be longer. She said they are geting at least 5 per day. This is in Surry County, hopefully it won't take that long!!
When Seconds Count, The Cops Are Just Minutes Away!!
Back in early 1998 my original one in Pitt county took about 3 weeks. The first renewal took about 2 weeks, but the next one (after a new Sheriff) took the full 90 days. I think the last one (before I moved out of state) only took about 2 weeks.
The range that is in Monroe is called Firepower. Used to be called the bullet hole, and before that it was called D&L. From Monroe, go down 74 until you see industrial drive on the right. Right before Dale Jarrett Ford. Go about half a mile, its on the left, right at a UPS drop box.
I am in Weddington, and this range is only about 15 minutes out. Never a line in there to shoot either, good place.
Limited to 44 mag. No rifles...except 22s, but no centerfire rifles.
