No Concealed Carry In Gun Store?

Another thread got me thinking. Does your gunstore not allow CC? Mine do.....and I do not think I would spend my hard earned money at one that didn't. I would refuse to support them...since they do not support us. Comments?

There is only one store near me that has a sign about firearms: Stop do mot enter with a loaded firearm. So I don't go there anymore; not to mention they are arrogant and their customer service is terrible.

It may be a law here in NC - not sure. All two guns stores I have patronized (even the one full of nice, ex-cops) have a no loaded guns sign.

Any of your barracks lawyers out there know?

My regular gun store has a big , "NO LOADED GUNS ALLOWED" sign out front, but the sign also says, "THIS DOES NOT APPLY TO CONCEALED CARRY".

The only sign in front of a gun store said something around the lines of, if you need to remove your firearm in the store please contact one of the employees for help.

I've seen a few gunshops in Utah with signs "NO LOADED FIREARMS".

One day I asked the owner about the signs, he stated that its basically for people that bring in their guns for shop service or for trade. He told me concealed is concealed unless you pull your carry gun and place it on the counter.

In Utah, only the state can make gun laws. Signs mean nothing here.

I won't support any other business that is anti-gun, so why would I support a gun shop that is anti-gun rights.

i was at a private shooting club today in plymouth, MI that didn't even allow CC on premises. i thought that was a little odd...other than that, i've always seen the "no loaded guns, except concealed carry"

Gun range I just joined has a rule "No Loaded Weapons Allowed Except On Firing Line". I asked the owner of the property about CC and he said as long as you have a permit and it remains in it's holster he has no problem with it. If your going to remove it from it's holster go to the firing line.

Gander Mountain allows you to carry

At Gander Mountain, here in Pennsylvania there is a sign as you enter the door that says "no loaded guns", but in 2" letters at the bottom, it clearly says this does not apply to permitted CCW.

One that I go to, says no loaded weapons. There are two owners, one doesn't care if you are licensed to conceal carry. The other flips out if he finds that you are carrying.

Both agree that you do not pull out a loaded weapon, period. If you are bringing in a weapon for them to look at, then it had better be unloaded prior to entry, even if it is your EDC.
I will support gun control when you can guarantee all guns are removed from this planet. That includes military and law enforcement. When you can accomplish that, then I will be the last person to lay down my gun. Then I will carry the weapon that replaces the gun.

No problems where I go but... I wouldn't necessarily not patronize a posted gun store. Unfortunately there's still no shortage of stupid people that ruin things for the rest of us.
