Apply now. I dont believe there's a difference between the res and non-res. The only issue you may have is some states wont recognize a non-res FL as far as reciprocity goes. You may want to see if you can change the status once you move. That was you can apply now, and hopefully have it by the time you move.

Spot on - there is no difference but the address.

CWFL holders can update their address on-line. There is a small fee for a new card, but there is no requirement to have a replacement card. As long as your correct address is on file, the one on the card doesn't matter.

Blame it on Sixto - now that is a viable plan.

The more the merrier !! Hopefully all these folks, also vote, are NRA members and tell their elected representatives just how they feel about their 2nd amendment rights. Time to stand up and be counted and heard !!!

When I took my cwp class back in February, the instructor in Miami where I took it said they were back logged by 35000+... crazy time we live in. Well I feel more comfortable knowing the people are taking time to protect what belongs to them. I just hope and pray they take the time to practice and get trained as well. The class i was in, the instructor said he never had so many people at one time.

I have been waiting 6 weeks for mine - though I did notice that the check was cashed last week - so progress there.

I've had my FL CWP for 5.5 years. When I sent everything in back then, it wasn't more then a six week wait. When I renewed last October I had my new id card in a couple of weeks.

Alot of folks are getting them everywhere. In SC folks are saying that SLED has bumped the time from 90 days to 100 days to get the permits out because they are swamped.

Im on day 73 and the wife is actually on day 82.

nope. they have 90 days. call them back and tell them to put it in the mail, or they are breaking the law.
