Thank you for posting that story. I have been searching the news channels for it, but I've been unable to find it. With my ccp coming up for renewal soon, I have been concerned about possible delay.

Received my non-resident renewal today ... 54 days after submission.....It has the wrong address. Wonder how long it will take to get that straightened out??
My Cousin was told yesterday that they are still working on November submissions. It has been 75 days so far for him.
News report yesterday has the backlog at over 90000 applications.
Florida can't keep up with concealed weapon permit requests - Florida - MiamiHerald.com
I sent in an e-mail requesting details on a change of address. They replied that they would change the address in the system but they also requested I not ask for a new card and that that would be OK.
The news report said they are getting emergency funding to hire 60 new employees to handle the workload!

I hope my renewal doesn't take that long. I guess we all know where the ammo has been going.
Well, I submitted my renewal last month and I to would like it sooner rather than later. However, since I have a permit that does not expire until April and even then if I submitted for some period after that I could still "renew". So, from a getting the legal folks armed I'm fine as long as mine is valid and it is get the new ones out there...

Two years ago I renewed my CCW permit and it only took 10 days...door to door.
My wife sent hers in almost a month ago, and they haven't even cashed the check yet.
I guess they ARE busy.![]()

Does anyone have the telephone number to call and check on the status? I am at 10 weeks and counting.

I have been waiting about 35 days 4 hours and 2 minutes 35seconds. Who's counting? So I called yesterday and after getting a busy signal for 10 times I got through. Then it said your wait can be up to 45 minutes because they are so busy. After 15 minutes I hung up. It will come eventually I guess, doesn't look good though.
On a good note, a friend of mine got his in about sixty days. He received it last month so hopefully they are working on a little more recent submissions. Who knows. Good things come to those that wait right?
Nothing personal, but why bother calling so soon? At least wait until your 90 days, no? Seems like an exercise in futility, and it'd probably only serve to frustrate me more to find out nothing more than my cashed check can tell me. Lockd, I'd try to forget about it for a while. I fear you have a while to wait. If you paid by personal check, wait until it clears and then plan on another 6-8 weeks. If nothing happens in 90 days, then I'd look into finding answers. .02
Hate to break this to you all - but I just got off the phone with them again regarding my cousin's application.
It was mailed on the 9th. Recieved on the 12th of December. The woman said that it is 90 days from the date of being processed - not the date it is recieved. His application hasn't even been started in the process.
She said it would be another couple of months... AT LEAST.
Which by the way is some BS! It says 90 days from when it is recieved...
But what can you do... complain to who? I guess it's just one of those things that you have to take bending over.
