They don't call it the gunshine state for nothing!
2A is not negotiable
good for us! more legally armed floridians!
I think the report completely ignored the real reason cwp applications have skyrocketed.
The real reason is now we have an anti-gun president, anti-gun attorney general and anti-gun congress frothing at the mouth to take away our 2A rights
That was my motivation. Our current adminstation has no interest in your 2nd Amendment rights. By the showing of renewed interest, it seemd Floridians do though!
2A is not negotiable
I just received my FL renewal permit. Speaking of the Dali-Bama administration not respecting the 2nd amendment, I was in a gun store yesterday and I have never before seen it so busy. The phone was ringing off the hook also.
I applied for my CWP approx. 6 weeks ago. When I called the progress line, they told me it was being processed. Does anyone know how long it is taking in Florida now?
Makes me proud to live in Florida.
Corps, it took me right at 3 months to get mine..
Good for everyone in my opinion, since a good hunk of that could be non-res. Fla. doing it's part to keep America safe..
I would be intrested in how many of those "backlogged" apps are non-res and how many are fellow sandbox dwellers....
Makes little difference in the end I suppose, I'm just proud that Florida isn't in the news for something embarassing for a change..![]()
Personally, mine had nothing to do with the president. I applied for my CWP after moving from Baltimore, MD and finding Orlando more dangerous. Granted, I would have also carried in Baltimore, if they would have let me. I thought I was moving to Disney, but soon learned that Orlando has a lot more random acts of violence, where Murdermore is more gang activity. At least they take care of cleaning their own gene pools.
Currently, I'm at two and a half months. I'm hoping for my CWP by the beginning of March. At least that way it'll give me time to backfill the trench to my mailbox before the rains come.
I'm currently shopping a Mossberg Tac to address the home invasion issue.
I'm at 9 weeks now. I apparently have about 3 to go.
I am planning a move to FL next January. Hope they are caught up by then!
