    Wyoming and CCW's

    All,
Just wondering if you folks were aware of this. The Colorado State
Shooting Association is reporting that Wyoming has revoked concealed
carry reciprocity with several states, including Colorado:

"Wyoming Attorney General Bruce Salzburg has revoked Wyoming’s
recognition of CCW permits from all but eight states effective March
1, with Colorado being among those states whose permits have been
rejected. Salburg, who is appointed and not elected, cancelled
recognition of permits from any state that does not have
qualification requirements identical to Wyoming. Because Wyoming
prohibits persons with ANY criminal conviction for controlled
substance violations (regardless how serious or how old) from
obtaining a permit, Colorado has been removed from the list of
states whose permits are recognized in Wyoming. Because Colorado law
only permits reciprocity with states that recognize and honor
Colorado permits, this action by the Wyoming AG effectively
invalidates Wyoming permits in Colorado as well and makes Wyoming
the only state contiguous to Colorado with whom there is no CCW
    reciprocity.

The states with whom Wyoming will still share reciprocity after
March 1 are Connecticut, Ohio, Georgia, Oklahoma, Maryland, Oregon,
Massachusetts and Utah. Since Utah offers permits to non-residents,
Colorado residents who hold Utah permits can still lawfully carry in
Wyoming, with the reminder that Colorado law requires state
residents to possess a Colorado permit in order to carry lawfully in
    that state."

If you want to carry in Wyoming, I guess you need to get a Utah
non-resident CCW permit, but make sure you maintain your Colorado CCW
permit in order to carry here.
