    Wal-Mart Walk

My holster came in. I have had the CHL and I have not used it yet. Put the holster on, tucked my t-shirt in (high noon split decision) and threw a sweatshirt on.. I tried various wears with the holster first.. Settled on 5:00ish.. Not great while driving, was also disappointed with my dress shirt tuck (Glock 19) so that gives some challenges for work wear.

The local wal-mart was closed.. Bad accident in front and only road to it was shut (and still is). So I hit Home Depot, went to the range, went to a further Wally World.

Only bought a 7-up (Ammo was sold out.. 6 bucks a box cheaper than anywhere else, no wonder why... No nachos only McDonalds.. no thanks).

I thought for sure everyone was seeing that thing I felt digging into my back. IT was sure on my mind but apparently not on anyone elses. My nerves calmed a bit as I left.

I noticed that I was more alert than ever. Since starting this self defense and civil rights journey I have upped my awareness. Seat location choices, being ready to at least defend myself hand to hand, etc. But today I was checking everyone else in more detail, looking to see if they were printing, looking to see if they were shifty, nervous, etc. Watching who was heading out and going in same direction as me.

All in all a good day. Going to feel naked at work if I keep doing these exercises in casual clothes.

Don't worry about the feeling of the gun. You'll make some adjustments and after some time you won't even know you are carrying. It will become part of your DNA.

    Home Depot... BLASPHEMY!

But congratulations just the same, you did go to a Wally World after all and I'm sure you'll see the error of you ways and repent for going to Home Depot!

    Congrats.
And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who would attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee.

If it makes you feel any better, I only went in to get a coke and some cash without an ATM fee. A conservative, gun friendly couple left technology and run a sausage stand out front. They work their tails off, make their own sausages and Friday is the day they also make steak tip subs.

Near Wal-Mart so any chance to throw some cash at them is a plus in my book.

    Congrats.

It's funny how conspicuous we feel the first few times we carry. I remember feeling like I was 10ft tall with a blinking neon sign over my head ,

"THIS GUY HAS A GUN !!"

Eventually I realized that unless you are a good looking woman, no one looks at you twice anyway......lol.
