Question Can you carry a firearm into Night Clubs in NC or any other state?

I am licensed to carry a handgun and was going to a night club in a bad neighborhood and would like to carry a firearm for safety. Is this allowed especially since most night clubs sell alcohol?

    depends on your state laws...

most of the time, clubs are not allowed. like 90% of the time.

considering you posted this at the open carry, forget about it....

Even if you could, it would be a bad idea for a lot of reasons.

Why do you want to go to a nite club in a bad neighborhood...like an accident waiting to happen?

No one should carry a firearm for "safety"...but for self-defense".

If this is an Open Carry question per the thread category, I think it would be a bad idea, legal or not.

Bad neighbourhood, liquor, dark environment, open carry, close quarters with lots of people = bad in my book.

It depends on the state. In Utah, for instance, there's no restriction on carrying in places where alcohol is served.

This should answer your question. From Handgunlaw.us

Although a person may have a permit to carry a concealed weapon, permittees are not
authorized to carry the permitted weapon anywhere they desire. The weapon may not be
    carried in the following areas:
    1. any area prohibited by N.C.G.S. §§ 14-269.3, 14-269.4, 14-277.2, or 120-
32.1. (school grounds, areas where alcohol is sold and consumed, state
    property, legislative buildings, and public gatherings, such as parades);

In WA state, areas that are off limits to the Under 21 crowd are also off limits for any kind of carry. If you go to an establishment that has a restaurant and its own bar, you could carry in the restaurant section but not the bar area (assuming the bar area allows no one under 21). You can carry in a liquor store because--in our state, anyway--the store itself is not off limits to the underage.

Sure - as long as your idea of a "nite club" is spelled CRACKER BARREL. If they serve alcohol, the answer is no in NC.

    - I thought you had to take a class to get a CHP in NC. My wife and I took a class, and they covered this issue in rather excrutiating detail.

    ....just sayin'.....

Here's how it affected me on my very first day of CC in NC. While picking up an Rx for the missus at the doctor's office, I noticed a new beverage store in a strip mall that sells fancy microbrew beers and wines. Since I'm a beer snob, I decided to drop in to buy a six-pack of something interesting for later. I walk in totin' my Kimber on the hip under my polo, and as I am perusing the beer aisles, I come around the corner to see a small bar with stools and a wine-tasting station. It's only me and the owner in the store - a guy my age. I quickly pay for my six pack and depart.

I think I just broke the law on Day 1!.
