Quick turn around on CPL license

My Dad applied for his CPL (Concealed Pistol License) on Tuesday of last week and he got it in the mail today! (Saturday)

I applied for mine on Thursday, lets see how fast I get mine.

Washington State is a "Shall Issue" state. They have 30 days to get it back to you. You do not need to prove to anyone that you have the right to protect yourself. I find that almost weird in a state that is so liberal....

Jeepasaurus I am jealous I filed mine an the 19th and still nothing :-( What did the envelope look like, I hope I did not throw it away as junk mail, example the DOL send your license in a completely plain envelope so you have no idea what it is and actually looks like junk mail.

That's very fast, my friend is going on 90 days waiting. He mailed it in on Dec. 6th. Still nothing.

They had us fill out our own envelope. I guess that way they cant be blamed for the wrong address.

Mine has the Snohomish County Sheriffs return address on it.

Here in Ohio, they have a 45 day window to issue. A few counties are getting them issued in 24hrs, I have seen a few post of same day. It took mine 17 days and I am not complaining after reading some of the post on this site specifically those from Texas.

Here in WA it is a flat fee, $55.25 in most counties. That includes the application, finger print fee, etc. Not too bad from what I have read about other places in the nation.

    Finally!!!!

I went to the mail box when I got home from work today and guess what was in there... my CPL!

Not a bad turn around either. It was exactly 8 days since I turned in my paperwork (6 working days). I am actually impressed for once with the county government. It seems like they process a CPL faster than anything else.
