My wife used to be that way. I kept going over all the news articles that you don't see on tv, and eventually she came around. We took our class on the same day and applied for our permits on the same day.
I used to tell her that the people she needed to be worried about having firearms already had them. After going over all the articles, and what could have been stopped by one law abiding citizen having a weapon she got it. It took literally yrs of on and off talking about it, but it was worth it.
She no longer sees the person legally carrying concealed as a vigilante, she now sees them as a responsible, law abiding citizen who cares enough for their own, and others, safety to take the extra step to ensure it.
So, I guess what I'm trying to say is...... don't give up. Present your concerns and views calmly and sincerely and hopefully she will eventually come around.

    Interesting car storage of EDC.

So as you know my wife received her permit the other day. She has been very hesitant about carrying on work days because the company handbook had a policy that said no handguns on the premesis, even in locked cars.

So she was talking with her boss, who is also a good friend of ours about it and he asked her if she had her gun in the car right then and she told him no because of the policy.

He then tells her that the policy has quietyly changed and in the new handbook there is no mention of this policy because of an incident where an employee had his gun sitting on the seat of his car in the parking lot which was seen by his supervisor. LOL

Evidently the super called in the employee to cover his butt and when corporate got involved it was determined that there would be a lawsuit. So the compnay quietly removed this from the employee manual so as to allow the weapon in a locked vehicle on property.

They did it quietly so as to not advertise it.

She did not take hers with her today both her boss and I have told her it needs to be with her. She leaves for work at 4am. Its dark and she needs to be able to protect herself.

At least the company has given the green light.

I told her dont ask and dont tell. They have no reason to get in the car anyway.
