    Well BCI took my money!!!

They have taken my fee so they had better get on it and get my permit here. I'm sure that they will say they recieved it the day they took my money so it will be 60 days from now but its nice to see progress.

Utah law states they have 60 days to issue/not issue from the date of acceptance as a complete application. When they charge your credit card, it means they have reviewed it and consider it complete.

So, you do have 60 days from that point.

Here in MS we have to pay in CASH or Certified Bank Check at the time we apply for our CCW. Then they have 120 days to Issue or Deny it. I have not heard of anyone being denied it though. Some say they have got it in as little as 45 days, others say it took the full 120. I applied March 24th, so i am counting the days.

So then...it's a Congrats on the 'guaranteed permit', with a long wait?

I am on about day 85. No idea how much longer since I paid with a USPS money order.

I sent them an email around day 70 - they said that "reciepting" is taking 30 days and processing an additional 75 days because of high volumes. Anticipate around 105 days apparently, not 60.

Of course the permit arrives 5 days later.

Better to pleasantly surprised I suppose. Total time was 75 days.

Governments can screw you then pretend that it didn't happen. I waited 90 days for my Nevada permit(I shouldn't complain, as Clark County generally takes all or even more of the 120 days allowed by law). When I got my permit in the mail, and looked at the front, it had listed as the day of issue within 2-3 days of the day that I submitted the application!
